A client of mine, a tour operator in West-Iceland, is looking for ways to promote a new adventure they are offering. It's a four day sea voyage exploring the untouched nature of the Breidafjordur bay. The nights are spent in an old village on an island without any cars. You will be sailing to deserted inlets, around Latrabjarg, a 444 meter high and 14 km long birdcliff which is Europe's most western point, bathing in a natural geothermal hot tub, trying out really fresh sea food and having face to face encounters with puffins and other sea birds. Even eagles. More info on the Breidafjordur Nature Cruise.
They are inviting journalists on their first tour on the 26th of May 2008. I have suggested they invite at least one blogger as well and now I am searching for that one blogger. If you are interested in a four day adventure cruise in Iceland on the 26th of May and are available from May 25th until June 1st, send me an email and convince me you're the blogger we are looking for. I will need information about you, your network and the readers to your blog (who, how many, where from, age, status etc). My email address is hjortur.smarason (at) gmail (dot) com. Please send me your info no later than midnight Thursday night (May 8th).
Present clients are people 45+, mainly from UK, the Netherlands and Germany.
Look forward to hear from you

Note to self become a travel blogger. Wow the bloggers that get invited are sure lucky. That sounds like one fun adventure.

thanks for offering help when we get ready to plan our trip to Iceland! And congrats on the newest addition :-)
We are thinking about a trip in 2010, perhaps August, as I understand that is the best time to visit. Somehow I got on Icelandic Air's email distribution list, and they are always tantalizing me with great deals!
Great to meet you!

Sad I couldn't make it, but happy for you with your newest addition!

A familar face!
Actually, I just sent over a request for an introduction on LinkedIn through a mutual connection, Kadena Tate-Simmons (we also share another one, Ephren Taylor).
I really wish that I'd known about this trip a bit sooner. I'd have drummed up enough interest in the trip that I could have "sold" your client on it.
Since I'm a ghostwriter, I don't have a heck of a lot of time to promote my OWN blogging efforts, and my most recent travel destination blog was for locations in Central America.
If nothing comes through, and your client is still in need, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'd move Heaven and Earth to make it to Iceland AHEAD of schedule!
I am interested in learning more about future opportunities, so I'm heading over now to register for your feed.
Congrats on the new addition, and have a great weekend!
Warmest Wishes,
Jennifer Gibbs

Hello Hjötur,
A friend of mine (Dirk Geurs) told me about your search for a journalist for an adventure cruise.
Too late now but maybe next time...
I write for outdoor en motor magazines and travel with the bike all over the planet. Latest trip to Ethiopia. Iceland is still on my list...
All the best!
